My sister never liked golden jewellery. Silver? Nah — too dull, too predictable.

Since her school days, she was always drawn to oxidized jewellery — the kind that felt bold, timeless, and unapologetically beautiful. Most of what she had was gifted by me — usually made of jink. It looked okay… for a while. But then it would fade, lose shine, and feel, well… incomplete.

She never said anything, but I could tell — she was never truly satisfied.

Then one day, I introduced her to brass-based, premium silver lookalike jewellery — and she fell in love. The shine. The finish. The designs. It felt like royalty without the heavy price tag.

But there was a catch.

Most brands that sold this kind of jewellery were either overpriced, or worse — they pretended to sell brass, but actually used cheap materials with fake polish. We realised she wasn’t alone — so many girls like her were settling or getting cheated.

So one day, over a chai break, she looked at me and said:

“Let’s do something about it.”

And I took it seriously.

I started researching artisans across the country — and even visited them personally. Slowly, we built a circle of authentic craftspeople who work with real brass, beautiful finishes, and design with heart.
